Prepaid Statement

LREC has a sophisticated meter reading system. It transmits valuable data to our headquarters. Most importantly, the kilowatt-hour usage (kWh). This system affords our members a lot of convenience, especially our pre-paid accounts. Unfortunately, there are a few occasions when the technology fails for whatever reason, and the kWh data is not transmitted. The system tries to heal or fix itself with an estimation based on prior usage. In rare cases, there are no readings at all.
 
However, there is an absolute reading that is always correct. That is the reading that is on your specific, assigned meter. (Below is an example of how to identify your meter number and meter reading.) It is a wise, recommended practice that you read your meter occasionally.
 
When communications are restored, and the correct reading is received and calculated, it takes priority over the estimates, and exact, correct charges are made.
